December 2, 2008 - Structure fire involving a residence on Ore Bank Rd. in Rockingham County. Crews encountered fire in the walls, ceiling, and on the exterior of the structure. The fire was quickly extinguished. GVFD and Weyers Cave FD responded.
December 6, 2008 - Structure fire involving a barn on Three Springs Rd. in Rockhingham County. Crew encountered fire on two levels of the barn however they made a quick knock down of the fire. McGaheysville FD, GVFD, and Elkton FD responded.
December 27, 2008 - Structure fire involving a residence on Cottontail Ln. in Augusta County. Crews found heavy fire from the rear of structure. Crews had a difficult time extiguishing the fire due to the numerous consealed spaces. GVFD, Dooms FD, New Hope FD, Weyers Cave FD, Waynesboro FD, and McGaheysville FD responded.
January 17, 2009 - Structure fire involving a residence on Main Street in Port Republic a small community in Rockingham County. Originally dispatched for chimney fire. Crews arrived to find the fire had extended to the attic. GVFD, Weyers Cave FD, and Hose Co. # 4 responded.
August 9, 2009 - Structure fire involving an apartment. Crew arrived to find heavy fire from a rear second floor bedroom. Fire was quickly contained to one room. Cause is under investigation. GVFD, Weyers Cave, & McGaheysville FD's responded.
August 20, 2009 - Structure fire involving a residence on Diehls Ford Rd. in Rockingham County. Crews arrived to find heavy fire from the rear of the structure. Crews initiated an aggressive interior. Due to balloon frame construction fire attack & overhaul took an extending amount of time. The incident went to 2nd alarm. Crews from GVFD, Weyers Cave, Hose Co. #4, McGaheysville, Bridgewater, New Hope, and Elkton FD's responded, while crews from Dooms FD stoodby at GVFD
